What We’ve Accomplished Together
TOMSEY Engineering & Services International Ltd facilitated the HAZID and HAZOP Workshop for the Detailed Engineering Design (DED) of the Awoba Flareout Project, commissioned by Newcross Exploration & Production Limited.
Working alongside ALCHRIS Energy Services Limited and key project stakeholders including NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), the workshop provided a structured platform to identify potential hazards, assess operability concerns and develop practical recommendations to strengthen the project design.
“Through structured hazard identification, detailed operability review and multidisciplinary collaboration, the workshop provided actionable recommendations to support the safe and reliable delivery of the Awoba Flareout Project.”
Project Overview
The HAZID and HAZOP Workshop was conducted as part of the Detailed Engineering Design phase of the Awoba Flareout Project. The sessions brought together relevant technical disciplines and project stakeholders to systematically examine the design, identify potential hazards and evaluate possible deviations, causes and consequences.
The assessment enabled potential risks and operability concerns to be addressed at an early stage of the project lifecycle, supporting informed engineering decisions and contributing to a safer, more reliable and regulatory-compliant project design.
